"Like many people who move to LA from somewhere else, I thought I knew what Los Angeles was all about, and I wasn’t sure I would even like it. How wrong I was. I loved LA right away and even now, nearly a decade later, I feel like I could never leave this place.
People think Los Angeles is beaches, palm trees, juice bars, and Hollywood. It’s all of those things, but its real beauty and charm is much more subtle. The colors change throughout the day, textures become more pronounced or recede, shadows can be lyrical, ordinary surfaces can seem profound. Light here hits everything in a way that to me feels spiritual.
LA has changed how I see the world and what things mean to me. It has changed my photography. And it has changed me."
